Our brilliant teachers will make sure you are put at ease straightaway, challenging those who want to extend their practice and nurturing those less experienced.

Yoga

An ancient practice with its origins in India, yoga was traditionally practised with the aim of unifying mind, body and spirit. Whilst there are different types of yoga, most classes involve three key elements.   Pranayama (yoga breathing) asanas ( yoga poses) and dhyana (meditation).  At the hub we’ve curated a selection of different yoga classes to suit everyone.

Pilates

Developed in the 20th century by Joseph Pilates, and originally called Contrology, pilates is a form of exercise which concentrates on strengthening the body with a particular emphasis on the core.  There is a flow to the exercises which are performed with precision and moved by the breath.  Easily modified, a pilates class can range from being a gentle strength training class to a more challenging workout.  As a lot more of us are stooped over monitors and our phones our shoulders become rounded and our posture slouched.  Let pilates undo the damage of poor daily habits and have fun in the process.

Tai Chi

Originating in ancient China Tai Chi works to release the flow of Qi (an internal energy force thought in Chinese medicine and philosophy to flow through your body). Characterised by its continuous slow and graceful movements Tai Chi is suitable for all ages and abilities. Low impact and gentle on the joints and muscles it’s a great place to start for someone older who wants to bring some movement back into their lives.
